Privacy policy

Chord Therapy collects no data. This page explains what that means in practice.

Effective 14 October 2026. Applies to Chord Therapy for iPhone, iPad and Mac, published by New Morning LLC.

What we collect

Nothing. Chord Therapy has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code that reports on you. We do not receive your name, email address, location, contacts, usage statistics or device identifiers, and we have no server that could store them.

What stays on your device

The progressions you write and your settings, such as the selected key and chord, the panels you show and the volume, are saved on your device so the app opens where you left it.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, Chord Therapy keeps your progressions and settings in step across your devices using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). That data is stored in the private database of your own iCloud account. It is not visible to New Morning LLC, and we cannot read, export or delete it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's privacy policy.

To stop syncing, turn off iCloud for Chord Therapy in your device's settings, or sign out of iCloud. To delete the synced copy, use Manage Storage in iCloud settings. Deleting the app removes its data from that device.

Network use

Apart from iCloud sync, Chord Therapy makes no network connections. Every chord, scale, fingering and sound is computed or played on your device.

Children

Chord Therapy collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
